IX Founders: Priya & Pankaj

“Priya Pankaj“ the brain and soul behind “InvigorateXcercise” a keen professional who is not only a Reebok certified professional, Mad Dogg certified spin expert, but also a dance enthusiast who will help you to glide your way to your fitness and achieving your goal.

Pankaj Achpaliya is the director and co founder of IX. Pankaj started his classes in the name of Heart Beats Dance Academy in the year 1996. He not only won many esteemed intra Mumbai awards but also choreographed many event shows and introduced many students to dance. Few of his students after their successful training have launched their own institutes and in the process spread the name of their Dance guru – Pankaj Achpaliya.

Pankaj has been conducting various Inter Zonal shows from 1998 -2002 in collaboration with few Corporates & a leading Digital cable provider Hathway Bhawani.

Pankaj, a versatile dancer in his own right has not only been a mentor and an inspiration to many of his students but also encouraged people known to have two left feet where dance is concerned to introduce dance in some form in their life while they reap good health in abundance.

Priya & Pankaj have been in the field of fitness and dance for close to 10 years. While both of them are Reebok, Zumba, ACE and Mad Dogg certified trainers in fitness, they continuously upgrade their own skills of understanding of fitness health by attending workshops training programmes held by internationally renowned fitness instructors.

Priya and Pankaj are award-winning choreographers who have experience working with both film and television. They started off as dancers and have carved a niche for themselves as choreographers and today they have been successfully able to add direction of music videos and stage shows to their credit.

Priya and Pankaj say that “Our love for fitness and dance led us to combine the two to create an extremely effective program across gyms like True Fitness, Nautilus-Waves and the Powerhouse chain of gyms in the city. We have helped a lot of adults and children adopt a lifestyle of good health/fitness through a safe at the same time fun routine”.

Zumba Party

Zumba is a popular fitness program inspired by Latin dance. The word “Zumba” comes from a Colombian word that means to move fast and have fun, which is just how people describe the routine. Using upbeat Latin music together with cardiovascular exercise, Zumba is aerobic dancing that is lots of fun and easy to learn, where people can burn minimum 500-600 calories.

Kick-boxing / Aero Boxing

Aero boxing has emerged as a new fitness craze amongst enthusiasts. This workout involves a combination of aerobic exercises with boxing techniques resulting in a lean athletic body.

Pilates

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that may help build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, and developing a strong core and improving coordination and balance. Pilates’ system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginner to advance. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises.

Power Yoga

Power Yoga consists of both a standing and sitting sequences of movements linking the usage of physical movement. It is an up-tempo aerobic workout, where yoga poses are done faster and in continuation.

Bolly-Aerobics

Bolly aerobics is an aerobic dance workout, where people dance on the popular Bollywood numbers with a proper warm-up cool down and stretches. It is lot of fun and easy to follow.
